PACEfunding - Consumer home loan financing provider to enable solar energy, energy efficiency and water conservation improvements via the Federal PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program. (2016)

OboPay - Created messaging and outward-facing product documents for Mobile Money for Banks, a white-label platform that empowers financial institutions and retailers to deploy their own branded mobile payment service. (2010)

Lending Club – For Finovate 2009, developed new Lending Club messages to reach and educate consumers about lower interest loan options. Results: Secured top-tier media and influencer meetings and interviews during the “Credit Crunch” of 2008-2009.

eBAY subsidiary MicroPlace consumer microfinancing - As external marketing team member, drove the media debut of crowd financing investment options and rates of return, earning national consumer finance press coverage in MSNBC, Newsweek’s Alpha Consumer, and NPR Planet Money. (2008 - 2009)

Movaris Corporation - As Director of Corporate Communications, formulated marketing strategy documents for the company’s transition from pure SOX to end-to-end Financial Control Management (FCM) lifecycle solutions for the Fortune 1000.   Managed analyst relations, media relations and the external PR agency.  Gained coverage in key finance and compliance publications by establishing Movaris as a thought leader and provider of superior suites of compliance solutions.  Trintech acquired Movaris within 1 year of my Director of Corporate Communications tenure. (2007 – 2008)

Cloud and Mobile Platforms

HumanConcepts - Analytics and data integration solutions to 400 of the Fortune 500.  Drove external messaging strategy for HumanConcepts' enhanced product platform. Earned Product of the Year October 2008 in Human Resource Executive Magazine, the most influential publication for global HR operations, and earned a feature story in Workforce Magazine, October 2009. (2008 – 2010)

GridIron Software - Project Workflow solutions.  For the company’s platform expansion, I worked with internal marketing to create and proliferate fresh messaging to attract additional analyst and media coverage, created case studies and content angles for greater media coverage. Earned coverage in top-tier publications including TechCrunch. (2008 – 2009)

Clarizen -Cloud-Based IT Project and Portfolio Management. Led 4-member team through pre-launch activities including presentation fine-tuning, trade show analyst tour, PR and AR outreach, blogger outreach and customer testimonial program.  Served as day-to-day contact for Israel-based VP of Marketing and CEO. (2006 – 2007)

PopularMedia - Marketing optimization and analytics platform. Served as external team member, chartered with creating external-facing message sets.  Tested and optimized messages sets, created case studies that measured impact and success in order to attract more customers and users. (2006 – 2007)

Momac - Customer engagement, affinity and loyalty platforms for major European mobile carriers, including O2 and Telefonica. For the company’s expansion into the US, I created key messages to differentiate Momac's platform from competitors, created case studies highlighting the platform’s superior impact, and developed and implemented outward-facing media and analyst strategy to attract coverage. (2006 – 2007)

TIBCO - As Interim Director of Corporate Communications, drove external messaging strategy for the launch of TIBCO’s enterprise-class business process management (BPM) solution for the Fortune 1000.  Performed daily proactive media pitching via writing and phone outreach to national business and trade press.  Wrote press releases and pitch letters, and prepped product spokespeople. Secured positive top-tier trade press interviews and coverage. (2005)

Siebel CRM Systems (now Oracle), global provider of CRM solutions for the enterprise and SMBs. Directed 5-person team through launch of CRM OnDemand™, Siebel’s first CRM solution for SMBs. Collaborated with internal marketing team on competitive strategy and campaigns to compete against Salesforce.com.  Performed daily proactive media and analyst pitching, drafted press releases and pitch letters, create and edited product brochures and prepped product spokespeople.  Secured top-tier press interviews and coverage in preparation for Siebel's 2005 acquisition by Oracle. (2003 – 2004)

Consumer Products

Connectix, Inc., developer of award-winning utility and entertainment titles, including VirtualPC© and WigOut!©.  Earned a Mercury Award for excellence and innovation in a national consumer software launch by creating venues for consumers to obtain immediate answers questions about Mac and PC compatibility, performance and optimization. Tour netted 20+ interviews in primary and secondary cities, 9 million+ impressions within 7 weeks, and significantly kick-started product demand on the eve of the holiday shopping season. Microsoft acquired Connectix.

Green Tech Project Experience

d.light - Served as senior-level PR strategist, planning and driving day to day business press outreach for this global leader in solar-powered lamps and thin-cell solar solutions for individuals, households and small businesses without access to reliable electricity.  Since its founding as two Stanford students' MBA project, d.light has enabled more than 65M people to dramatically raise their living standard by leapfrogging nonexistent or unreliable power grids.  d.light attracted $30M in funding September 2016 and CEO presented a TEDTalk in early 2017 through our efforts.  (2015 - 2016)

LEDEngin, Inc. - Marketing specialist for Santa Clara-based developer of LED lighting products for retail, hospitality, green building and construction, and specialized LED lighting for medical/dental applications. Role included creating product marketing content, trade show/event support, media outreach, sales support, counsel on messaging and content for website, press releases, case studies/customer testimonials. (2009)

TerraPass - Carbon offsets retailer. Led external marcom agency team in both refuting controversy and skepticism surrounding the role of carbon offsets in mitigating global warming, and differentiating TerraPass as an ethical carbon offsets retailer among top-tier national print, online and broadcast press.  Created synergistic affiliations between TerraPass and online eco-friendly resources like MSN’s Green, Grist and others.  Fielded an average of 7 media requests/day.  Secured very positive coverage in online and radio outlets, positive coverage in local print press and balanced coverage in The Washington Post.  Generated 20 million+ impressions within 8 months of PR service. (2006 – 2007)
